This is amazing! I think the thing that I like best about it is that it isn't something everyone will have tattooed on their body. Not everyone is comfortable with spiders, whether they be real, imagined or pictured. Most people are not so comfortable with spiders that they would 'carry them' around with them. But, this is brilliant. The highlights and shadows are remarkable. I love the softness of the angles and, especially, the eyes of the Wolf Spider (at least it looks like a Wolf Spider to me).
Congratulations on a very well deserved Daily Deviation!
I would suggest also browsing through dA - there are some fantastic tattoo artists who showcase their work here. You could simply browse through the gallery with the sorting set on Most Popular, you will get a lot of amazing tattoos that way, and you could also make use of the groups - a simple search brings up a lot of them: groups.deviantart.com/?qh=&… I would recommend picking one that has been around for a while and has a lot of watchers - they will probably have more deviations.
And of course, keep an eye on the DDs because I will be featuring, for sure. My tattoo slots are filled for the next two weeks.
Scary! We used to have a shrub that grew along one wall, and a whole city of harvestman spiders used to live in it - and when you sprinkled water on it they would rise like a black cloud up the wall - we used to watch that in fascination. Nowadays? This one time a few years ago a bunch of volunteers and other deviants group-called me on Skype to help me keep calm while I waited for a friend to come remove a face-sized huntsman spider from my bedroom. I would have jumped out of the window if not for them.
Thank you for the advice on how to look for the tattoos. I surely do appreciate it. And I will definitely keep my eyes open!
HOLY CRAP, they are that big...'face-sized'? Yep, I don't mind most spiders. But, I have never had any experience with something THAT big. I might need help too! Now I am going to have to look up that type of spider.
